The American War Memorial

The Practice was instructed by Weymouth & Portland Borough Council to  repair the American War Memorial  on the Weymouth Esplanade. Exposure to severe weather had caused  ironwork to heavily rust and fail, damaging the stone.

We dismantled the structure to remove iron and included new stainless steel in the rebuild, while at the same time replacing several badly damaged stones. We also repaired and repainted the written inscriptions, preserving the memory of US soldiers in Weymouth for generations to come.
