Contemporary business premises in the heart of Dorchester
Dukes Auctioneers wanted to transform this large, redundant office building into a space to expand their business and provide attractive new premises for their clients to visit.
We re-arranged the internal spaces to suit the new function of the building, incorporating a reception, offices, sales rooms, storage, and a café.
The scheme is designed to complement the contemporary feel of Brewery Square. We brightened and simplified the exterior by rendering, large simple signage, and lighting. We cleared the landscape of tall, overgrown planters to ‘open up’ the space and make it more visible. Contrasting surfacing defines pedestrian areas and new trees provide a smart foil to the building. By glazing an open area between columns, we have created a clear and welcoming new entrance.
The building is now a fitting headquarters for this thriving business.
