High Rigg

This modest bungalow had been altered and extended numerous times but did not take advantage of its lovely countryside setting. The entrance was at one end, with much of the space given over to a very generous corridor at the expense of the size of the rooms.

We altered and extended the building, changing the principal entrance to a more central position, with a spacious double height entrance hall and staircase leading to two generous bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Downstairs, there is a large open-plan family area. The new gable end is highly glazed to make the most of the stunning view across the valley.

Much of the earlier structure was improved and rendered to transform the building  into a unified, contemporary home.
