WE ARE RECRUITING!
We are seeking an Architect, with ideally at least 5 years post-qualification experience in the UK at all RIBA working stages, to join our Dorchester team.
Do you have the skills we're looking for?
Must:
- Be self-motivated with strong time management and leadership skills, and a proven ability to work multiple projects of varying sizes at the same time.
- Have a flair and passion for design with excellent drawing skills and a good eye for detail.
- Have strong technical detailing knowledge.
- Be up-to-date with current building regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Be proficient in IT (we primarily draw with AutoCAD LT, with some early concept design undertaken on Sketchup, but are open to using other software for visualisation).
- Have a good standard of spoken, written, and technical English with experience in communicating with clients, design teams, contractors, and statutory bodies.
- Hold a full driving licence, and own a vehicle, as Dorset is a rural county with limited public transport connections and we cover a large area within Dorset and adjoining counties.
- Confident to work independently, taking the lead or a supporting role as required, and have energy and enthusiasm with a good sense of humour.
- Be polite with a passion for traditional excellent customer service.
Good to have:
- Conservation Accreditation.
- Familiarity with the adopted Local Plans for Dorset.
- Long-term Directorship ambition.
